Pastor Charles C. Colbert, Sr. is a man of Vision and Prayer. His main purpose is to fulfill the calling of God upon his life. 

He has an evangelistic ministry and believes that God has positioned him for such a time as this. Pastor Colbert is a faithful husband to his wife, Lady Savoy and his four children, Ebony, Aaron, Charles Jr. and Destini. He is also the proud Grandfather of three grandsons. Pastor Colbert is the first child of the Martha Cole and the late Henry Thompson and a native of Linden, Texas. 

Pastor Colbert accepted his call to ministry in January of 1997 and matriculated at Tyler Jr. College.

He received his B.A. in Religious Studies from Southwestern Assembly of God University and graduated as the Valedictorian from Northeast Texas Institute for Ministerial Education. 

Pastor Colbert was ordained as an Elder in June of 2002 by the late Bishop J. Neaul Haynes, Prelate of Texas Northeast First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction and General Board Member of the Church of God in Christ, Inc. He served diligently under the leadership of his father-in-law the late Supt. A.D. Rylander where he served in various positions which included: Assistant Pastor, Church Administrator, Youth Pastor, Chairman of Finance & Sunday School Teacher. 

Pastor Colbert also served in various positions which includes.

District Superintendent, Jurisdictional Secretary, and member of the Jurisdictional Executive Board and Evangelist Department.

Since his time of Pastoral appointment, the church congregation has grown, and many new ministries have been created to empower the body of Christ and the community. Under his leadership Pastor Colbert instituted the Young Men of Valor Program that is designed to help young black males to be productive citizens in their community and in the Kingdom of God. In February 2013, Pastor Colbert along with his lovely wife Lady Savoy co-founded the A.D. Rylander Scholarship Committee that has funded scholarships to assist young men & women of GTV to attend college. In January 2016, under the leadership of Pastor Colbert and the blessings of God, the membership was able to burn the Church mortgage note. 

In August 2017, Pastor Colbert also instituted the CCC Kingdom Focus School of ministry that prepares ministers for ministry to impact the world for Christ and become a catalyst of change within their generation, church, and nation. 

In addition, he developed “True Vine Community Resource Center”, a non-profit, faith-based community development corporation (CDC).

It has been through these efforts many people have been touched, souls have been saved and delivered. Hundreds of families have been blessed through the efforts of food baskets and school supplies give-a-ways along with annual toy give-a-away as well. 

In 2021, Pastor was led to help initiate healthy eating, and started a community garden with greens, tomatoes, and other vegetables to give out and bless the residents of Desoto free of charge. 

In March of 2022, Pastor Colbert along with his lovely wife wrote their first couples’ book entitled: “Kingdom Couples 31-day guide for Marriage/ Healing, Restoration and Rejuvenation. 

This book is now available on Amazon and has helped launch Colbert’s Counseling Innovative.

​Pastor Colbert has proven himself to be a major achiever; his accomplishments have yielded great success. 

He further endeavors to build up the kingdom of God and tell the world Jesus is Lord through Media and Outreach opportunities. 

A visionary indeed and a man who has a heart for the people of GOD everywhere.

Lady Savoy Colbert accepted Jesus Christ at a young age, and later renewed her passion for Christ, and rededicated her life to Him, after college. Lady Colbert is a native of Dallas, Texas .She is the tenth child of the Late Supt. A.D. Rylander and Missionary Marion Hawkins Rylander. She served under their leadership at the Greater True Vine Church in many capacities. Supt. Rylander and Mother Rylander instilled in her the posture of prayer. She honors them by carrying on their legacy and the mantle is definitely upon her! She married the love of her life Rev. Charles Colbert in 2001. He is the Senior Pastor of the Greater True Vine Church located in Desoto, Texas, and together they have four beautiful children; Aaron, Ebony Raven, Charles Jr. and Destini Marion. One of her greatest joys is that of being a Mother to their children, and GG to her Grandbaby Tre. Lady Colbert enjoys mentoring and ministering to young women in crisis.

She currently serves as the Women’s Department President, and loves to serve beside her husband in all areas of ministry. Lady Colbert received her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Human Services from Southwestern Assembly of God University and is also a certified pre- marital and marriage counselor. This Woman of God is the co-founder of SistersACT an organization that targets empowering the Women of God to be all they can be! She holds a yearly luncheon to empower the women to network, fellowship and honor each other. 

She also is a volunteer for the Family Place, “Women against Domestic Violence” and was recognized as First Lady of the year.

Lady Colbert believes in the power of prayer and coordinates prayer services weekly at her local church. Lady Savoy is dedicated to seeing the WOMEN of GOD empowered and enabled to live a holy and whole life through Jesus Christ. A scripture that Lady Colbert lives by is 

Romans 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared to the glory which shall be revealed in us. 

We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible written Word of God.

We believe that there is one God eternally existent in three persons; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. 

​

We believe in the Blessed Hope, which is the rapture of the Church of God, which is in Christ at His return. 

​

We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance, faith in the precious blood of Jesus Christ, and being baptized in water. 

​

We believe that regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential for personal salvation. 

​

We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing for the human body in answer to believing prayer. 

​

We believe that the baptism in the Holy Ghost,

according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it. 

​

We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit: by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy and separated life in this present world. AMEN
